Revenue Accountant

Role Title: Revenue Accountant Type: Interim 3 to 6-month contract Day Rate: Competitive Hybrid: Onsite presence is a requirement Location: Leicestershire Sellick Partnership are working with a Local Authority in Leicestershire who are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to provide specialist support across revenue accounting, financial reporting and external audit. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team supporting key statutory reporting requirements and ensuring the accuracy of the Council's financial records. The responsibilities of the Revenue Accountant will be: Responding to external audit queries and supporting audit sampling Completing key balance sheet reconciliations Reviewing reconciliations prepared by other accountancy teams Supporting the production of quarterly revenue monitoring reports Leading on the Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) submission Supporting year-end financial reporting activities The ideal candidate for the Revenue Accountant role will have: Previous Local Government finance experience Strong revenue accounting knowledge Experience supporting external audits Experience preparing or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations Previous involvement in Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills How to apply for the Revenue Accountant role: If you believe that you are well suited to this excellent opportunity of Revenue Accountant, please apply directly or contact Tim Farnsworth at Sellick Partnership Derby Office for more information.
