Senior Finance Analyst

Senior Finance Analyst Contract: 12 Months with possible extensions Rate: circa £460 per day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella, DOE) Location: Derby (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite) We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing organisation on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a high-performing finance team, supporting financial reporting, controls, forecasting, and business performance across a complex and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the delivery of monthly financial reporting, analysing actual performance against budgets and forecasts. Partner with finance teams to develop accurate budgets and forecasts that enable informed business decisions. Ensure the integrity of financial reporting through robust financial controls, governance, and documentation. Lead balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and assurance activities to maintain reporting compliance. Manage audit requirements and internal reporting deliverables, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting processes, financial controls, and operational efficiency. About You: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous experience in Financial Control, Financial Reporting, FP&A, or a similar finance role. Strong technical accounting knowledge with an understanding of financial controls and governance. Experience using SAP, HFM and/or One Hyperion Planning (OHP) is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
