Deputy Team Manager - Adult Social Care Location: Blackpool Rate: £40 per hour Contract: 8 Weeks | 37 Hours per Week Blackpool Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join its Community Adult Social Care service during an exciting period of improvement and transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a multidisciplinary team, providing operational and professional leadership while ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice across Adult Social Care. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage and support a team of social workers and practitioners Oversee complex casework, safeguarding enquiries and risk management Ensure timely, high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development Work collaboratively with health, housing, providers and voluntary sector partners Contribute to service transformation and improvement initiatives Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration Significant experience within Adult Social Care , including safeguarding Previous experience managing staff and leading teams Strong decision-making, leadership and risk management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice What's on offer: £40 per hour 8-week contract with a well-established Adult Social Care service Opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to service improvement If you're an experienced Adult Social Care leader looking for your next agency opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
