Management Accountant Location: UK-Based (Hybrid Working Available) Job Type: 12–15 Month Fixed-Term Contract Sector: Finance | Retail/Hospitality We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join a fast-growing multi-site consumer business on a maternity cover contract. This role offers the opportunity to provide crucial financial insight and support operational decision-making during an ambitious growth phase. Day-to-day of the role: Take ownership of month-end reporting, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Provide meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight to support operational teams. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities. Contribute to board reporting and performance analysis. Partner with stakeholders to enhance profitability and business performance. Monitor capital expenditure, new site performance, and return on investment. Support audit processes, systems improvements, and ad hoc commercial projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience within a multi-site retail, hospitality, leisure, or consumer-facing business. Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in budgeting and forecasting. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and adding value to the business. Desirable Experience: Labour cost analysis and workforce planning. Capex and property accounting exposure.
