Food Safety Team Leader

Food Safety Team Leader "Suitable candidates must be either a qualified Environmental Health Officer doing food safety enforcement work or a Food Safety Officer who holds the required qualification set out in the current Food Law Code of Practice." Food Safety Team Leader The role involves the day to day management of the food safety team to deliver the full range of functions while also dealing with a small case work of mainly more complex cases. Food Safety Team Leader The purpose of the role is to work with the business unit and unit manager to strategically develop and ensure effective delivery of the food law regulatory functions including future planning of the business unit work areas, wider divisional priorities, wider council priorities. The team leaders will have responsibility for: Food Safety Team Leader leading and managing the team consisting of principal enforcement officers, enforcement officers, assistant enforcement officers and support staff. undertake business planning and performance management of the staff ensure policies and procedures are up to date ensure the functions of the food team are delivered in accordance with statutory guidelines and adequate arrangements in place covering lead food hygiene and food standards responsibilities. Suitable candidates will have extensive current experience regulating food safety within a local authority and have a sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and food standards matters.
